The system was designed to meet the customer’s specific requirements, and integrated with a works order processing system and extranet as part of the project. Skanska Utilities was able to demonstrate a tangible reduction in their carbon footprint, based on fewer miles travelled by fewer vehicles, as well as efficient route planning using integrated satellite navigation. | |

| Community & Business Excellence Awards 2008 Handheld PCs were finalists for the 'Best use of Technology' category awarded by The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead for their photo management application 'hand-e-pix' Good Communications Awards 2008 Handheld PCs worked with Mid Sussex Council "Winners" of the award to deliver a bespoke version of their hand-e-pix product, helping capture incidents of environmental crime and integrating the data with their existing Enterprise Case Management system from Lagan. By linking with existing business systems, the council were able to improve the overall level of service to the community at minimal cost. "Mid Sussex has led an innovative shared services project that provides a mobile working solution to three tiers of local authority for enforcement of the Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act." |

The hand-e-forms application enables The Local Data Company to deliver the most accurate, detailed and current dataset available to some of the biggest companies in the UK.
