Handheld PCs Ltd is delighted to announce that it has become an official BlackBerry ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Alliance Member with Research In Motion Limited, the producer of the BlackBerry solution.

Becoming a BlackBerry Alliance Member provides Handheld PCs with the platform to promote its hand-e-pix application to the global BlackBerry community.  Hand-e-pix is a client-based application which takes advantage of the BlackBerry devices’ on-board camera, GPS receiver and wireless connection.  It does this by providing the user with intuitive software that captures a time/date/GPS co-ordinates stamped photo of an ‘incident’.  The incident is then wirelessly uploaded in real-time to a back-office web portal which provides a sortable/searchable database of all incidents captured.

Hand-e-pix is a B2B application which has appeal across many vertical sectors including Local Government, Construction and the Police Forces.
