We are delighted to announce that our customer, Skanska Utilities, has won the ‘Quality Award’ from the National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG) for the delivery of the ‘Reinstatement Application’.  Handheld PCs is Skanska Utilities’ mobility partner and developed the mobile system running on Mototola MC35 devices.

The system tackles a number of key areas:

• Faster turn-around of reinstatement details to ensure 100% compliance with Traffic Management Act (TMA) regulations
• Accuracy and consistency of data
• GPS co-ordinates capture (longitude and latitude)
• Visual audit trail of quality of work
• Improve customer satisfaction
• Reducing carbon emissions / fuel costs through the use of integrated satellite navigation
